Last Updated: November 30, 2025SmartSurf (“the Extension” or “the Service”) is a Chrome extension and associated website that lets you chat, search, translate, and get quick answers using multiple AI models (Grok, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and others) through a single interface. Tagline: One extension, every AI.The Service is created and maintained by Bhaskar Ballapragada, an individual residing in Washington, United States (referred to as “I”, “me”, “my”, or “the Developer”).By installing or using SmartSurf, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the Service.### 1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use SmartSurf. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.### 2. License to Use SmartSurf
I grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use SmartSurf for your personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Chrome Web Store Terms of Service.### 3. Free Version & Paid (Ad-Free) Version
- The free version is supported by non-intrusive advertisements.
- A paid “Pro” or “Ad-Free” version may be offered in the future to remove ads. Pricing and features will be shown at the time of purchase.
- Payments are processed through the Chrome Web Store or other payment providers I choose. All payments are non-refundable except as required by law.### 4. Privacy
Your privacy is very important. Please read my separate Privacy Policy to understand what data is collected (e.g., highlighted text you send to AIs, anonymized usage statistics, and ad-related data) and how it is used.### 5. Third-Party AI Services
SmartSurf simply sends your queries to third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI/Grok, etc.).
You agree:
- Your prompts and any highlighted text are transmitted to these providers.
- Each provider has its own terms and privacy policy that also apply when you use their AI through SmartSurf.
- I am not responsible for the accuracy, appropriateness, or legality of responses from these AIs.### 6. Prohibited Uses
You may not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of SmartSurf.
- Use the Extension for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Remove or alter any copyright or trademark notices.
- Distribute malware or spam through the Extension.### 7. Updates & Changes
I may update the Extension automatically through the Chrome Web Store. I may also modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.### 8. Disclaimer of Warranty
SmartSurf is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.### 9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I (Bhaskar Ballapragada) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.My total liability will not exceed the amount you paid me (if any) in the past 12 months.### 10. Termination
I may terminate or suspend your access to SmartSurf at any time, for any reason, including if you violate these Terms.### 11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.### 12. Changes to These Terms
I may update these Terms from time to time. The new version will be posted here with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.### 13. Contact
